This scene is in the Bitteroot Valley at the end of one of those perfect autumn days. I went down there the night before in a heavy rain storm hoping the weatherman was correct about the next day being clear and pleasant. It was.
Early morning frost gave way to the sunís rays and off I went to explore this wonderful part of Montana. I visited this spot in the morning, and decided the light would be better just before sunset. The warm, evening light backlit many of the trees and made them appear to glow against the cool hills beyond.
